FARM-to-MARKET MODEL - NO MIDDLEMEN
SUPPORTS AGRICULTURAL SUSTAINABILITY and
LOCAL ECONOMIC STABILITY
Our Team
HAND PACKED AND LOW-MECHANIZATION

Packing Done By Hand
| |

We supply the highest quality sweet onions sorted and packed by hand. Sweet Nazcas are
minimally mechanized and labor intensive, maximizing employment for our Peruvian team.
|

We plant during the winter months in the US (Peru is opposite seasons being south of the
equator). Harvesting is done in late summer. We deliver to food markets during fall.
Sweet Nazcas are available in stores in the US and Canada from September to January.
|

Our team members are employed formally, under full and part time contracts. That
empowers them to begin building better lives, their retirement and entitles them to local
Peruvian governmental social benefits of hospitalization and unemployment insurance. We
also give back to several local communities in which our team members reside, such as
schools, churches, local fund raisers and cultural festivities. We believe by doing the right
thing with our people (treating them with the dignity and respect that they deserve) in our
small way we can help make the world a better place, and so can you by purchasing our
"Sweet Nazcas".
This philosophy, doing things the old fashioned way slowly by hand, allows everyone
to win. This is the very core of our belief system.
|

Along with practicing Social Responsibility and Community Sustainability mentioned
above, our goal is to practice Sustainable Farming as it applies to the environment and the
preservation and efficient use of resources. We are currently working towards that.
